Prioritize What Matters Most

This week, Wisdom Well’s executive coach and mentor, Kisha Gaines teaches us in this 1-minute video the importance of prioritizing what matters most.
Here’s a simple starting point:
1️⃣ Clarify Your True Priorities
If you don’t know what matters most to you, how can you protect it?
- Take 5 minutes to reflect on what brings you joy and aligns with your values.
- Write down your top 3-5 priorities—things that light you up and deserve your focus.
When you’re clear on your priorities, decisions will get easier because you know where to invest your time and energy.
2️⃣ Set Boundaries & Say “No” with Confidence
This one’s tough, but trust me, it’s a game-changer.
- Every time you say “yes” to something that doesn’t align with your priorities, you’re saying “no” to something that does.
- Practice saying “no” kindly but firmly. Here are a couple of examples:
- “I’d love to help, but I don’t have the bandwidth right now.”
- “Thanks for asking, but I need to focus on other commitments.”
You’ll feel a sense of freedom when you stop trying to do it all.
3️⃣ Take Consistent, Intentional Action
Now, it’s time to make those priorities a reality.
- Block time in your calendar for the things that matter most—and treat it like an important meeting!
- Break big goals into bite-sized steps you can tackle daily or weekly.
- Check in with yourself regularly: Are your actions reflecting your priorities?
Even small, consistent steps can create big changes over time.
